A portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated on behalf of Crazy Beach Boards (CBB) to the Fisher House Foundation. We were a military family for nearly 36 years and part of the CBB mission statement is to give back to service members and veterans. By helping to support the Fisher House Foundation we can do just that. Below is an excerpt from the Fisher House Foundation mission statement.
Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military & veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.
Fisher House Foundation also operates the Hero Miles program, using donated frequent flyer miles to bring family members to the bedside of injured service members as well as the Hotels for Heroes program using donated hotel points to allow family members to stay at hotels near medical centers without charge. The Foundation also manages a grant program that supports other charities and scholarship funds for military children, spouses, and children of fallen and disabled veterans.

We love being a part of Special Projects big and small. This project was done in memory of a loved one by encapsulating a lock of hair in epoxy resin. We then attached the heart to a meaningful poem and created enough Pocket Hugs for each member of the family.
Other examples could include funny sayings for Valentine's Day, Resin Bunnies for Easter, and even pet memorials.
What Special Project can we create with you?

Do’s
To clean, use a wet cloth or small amount of soap (if necessary), dry immediately. Note: soap draws out the natural moisture in your board. If your board looks a bit dull, treat with food grade oil such as mineral oil. Wait a bit, then rub in food grade wax to keep your board water repellent.
Don’ts
Never put your board in the dishwasher or soak in water (this will ruin your board causing it to absorb too much water, warp, bend and crack).
Don’t use olive or vegetable oil to moisturize board. This will cause the board to become rancid. Do not cut on resin.
Pro Tip
1. Dense hardwood lumber with a closed grain like maple, walnut and cherry are among the best cutting board materials. 2. Spring clean your board with salt and lemon. Cut lemon in half, sprinkle salt on board, rub lemon on salty board, this acts as a natural scrub for stains and will disinfect and deodorize too! Dry immediately and re-oil your board for many years of enjoyment.
Warning
Wood is a natural product, follow the abovementioned recommendations to prevent cracks, drying out, splintering and to assure food safety. DO NOT USE YOUR BOARD IF CONDITION OR FOOD SAFETY ARE IN QUESTION. All Crazy Beach Boards products are initially seasoned with food safe oils and waxes. Crazy Beach Boards is not responsible for the safety of food items placed on our products after the sale as we have no control over how the food is prepared or how the board is maintained.
